When 39-year-old, Laura Vikmanis abandoned her husband. She felt sad, upset and frustrated. Her husband left her for a younger woman.
One time she came to, he can not dissolve in grief, she needs to get up and do something fun to fill his days. Understandably, the two daughters are teenagers.
The idea came from sister Laura. When they are both middle of watching a football game, Bengals Cincinnati. Her sister threw a proposal to Laura, why do not you become Cheerleader (cheerleaders) only.
Three years later, Laura realize the idea. At the age of 42 he became a cheerleader. Laura recorded the oldest cheerleader in the United States football league. "Until now I still can not believe," he said.
To be a cheerleader, she needs to fight hard. He was rejected at the first audition. "I felt intimidated, all age 20 years younger than me," said Laura.
The following year, she returned to audition. After practicing hard, he managed to beat hundreds of candidates whose age is much younger. He was elected to the Cincinati Bengals cheerleader.
Laura's family supports what he did. "At first they did not think, they just say, it is interesting to try," he said. "But once I am elected they cry."
New Line Cinema, the production house that made the film The Hobbit, Sex and the City, interested in raising this story to the big screen. "It's an interesting story, he got up and found himself again," said the playwright, Emily Cook.
